Catalogue of R&D Fields Privacy Policy

Catalogue of R&D Fields (hereinafter catalogue) is part of the ATHENA European University project (co-funded by European Commission, grant agreement number: 101004096 ATHENA). The administrator and manager of the catalogue is Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor (hereinafter our organisation). This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use the catalogue.

What data do we collect?

Our organization collects the following data:
  • Personal identification information (name (family and surname, middle name where applicable) and email address of the contact person).
  • Public identifiers attached to the names above (e.g., ORCID, SICRIS or any other identifier from CRIS (Current Research Information) systems).
  • Other information regarding individual accomplishments or memberships in scientific boards, councils, associations, or editorial boards.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide our organisation with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
  • Insert data in the forms F02 or F03.

How will we use your data?

Our organisation collects your data so that we can:
  • Collect and process data to make it available for others involved in the ATHENA project, mostly related to the ATHENA R&D model.
  • Email or use any other means of electronic communication to contact you with information regarding catalogue functionalities and ATHENA project related matters.

How do we store your data?

Our organisation securely stores your data at the Institute of Informatics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Koroška cesta 46, 2000 Maribor, Slovenia. The data is stored in MySQL database, running on an Ubuntu server (both are regularly updated). The Database is protected by a firewall and accessible only with authorisation within the network of the Institute of Informatics.

Our organisation will keep your data until ATHENA related activities are concluded. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data upon your request.

What are your data protection rights?

Our organisation would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request our organisation for copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that our organisation corrects any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request our organisation to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that our organisation erases your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that our organisation restricts the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to our organisation’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that our organisation transfers the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
